Alligator in the Duckweed

Observation
Alligator surfacing through bright green duckweed, jaws slightly parted. Eye is open with a clear catchlight. Scale texture on the head and back is legible, water droplets and duckweed clumps cling to the snout.
Interpretation
Wildlife portrait with a threat cue. The parted jaw and the eye contact do the work.
Technical
Aerial, EXIF not read. Eye and nearest scales tack sharp. Duckweed is well resolved without going to hyper-detailed. Green cast is strong but not crushed; the animal's warm brown separates cleanly.
Composition
Head placed on the left third, snout points into the frame. Body trails off into the right two thirds, leading the eye along the animal.
Creativity
Aerial angle on a common subject. The vertical top-down feel is unusual for gator work and improves it.
Impact
Reads immediately. The mouth cue makes it hold attention longer than a resting portrait would.
Strengths
- Sharp eye with catchlight
- Duckweed pattern adds texture without noise
- Threat cue is subtle enough to feel documentary
Improvements
- The tail trails to the right edge; a small canvas extension or a tighter left crop would keep the animal fully framed.
- Slight local saturation reduction on the duckweed would let the animal read as the primary color.
Visual assessment. EXIF was not read.
