Kingfisher on a Bare Branch

Observation
Belted kingfisher perched profile on a slim bare branch against a cleanly blurred green background. Crest is up. Eye is sharply rendered with a small catchlight. Chest banding is visible.
Interpretation
Textbook wildlife portrait. The blurred green wall lets the bird carry the whole frame with no distraction.
Technical
R7 file. EXIF not read. Eye is tack sharp; crest feather tips retain fine structure. Background is smooth without onion-ring bokeh, suggesting a fast telephoto stopped moderately. Slight softness on the leading wing shoulder is consistent with a shallow depth of field, not miss-focus.
Composition
Bird placed on the left third looking into the frame. Perch angles gently up-right, adding a small diagonal. Negative space on the right is exactly enough.
Creativity
Conventional but well executed. The kingfisher's raised crest is the differentiator.
Impact
Reads at thumbnail. Rewards inspection at full size.
Strengths
- Sharp eye with a legible catchlight
- Clean background separation
- Crest is up, which is the picture
Improvements
- The perch continues off frame at the bottom; a slightly higher framing would resolve that line.
- Mid-tone contrast on the chest band could be lifted a hair to separate the pattern from the white belly.
Visual assessment. EXIF was not read.
